    Job Title: CNC Machinist and Programmer

    Job Description

    This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will have the ability to proficiently set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines. Experience with HAAS and Okuma machines is preferred. The role also demands proficiency in using precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC machinery including mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines.

    + Utilize precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures for accurate machining.

    + Work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples to produce high-quality parts.

    + Maintain proficiency in CNC programming and machine operation.

    + Ensure setups are completed efficiently and accurately.

    + Adapt to fast-paced work conditions and meet production deadlines.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years experience with CNC machinery setup and operation.

    + Proficiency in CNC programming.

    + Experience with HAAS and Okuma machines.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Surfcam programming software.

    + General programming skills.

    + Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a machine shop that is not climate controlled, experiencing both hot and cold conditions. The company provides uniforms and a laundry service. Overtime is offered.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, Tennessee.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
