Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical systems, including trash compactors, balers, forklifts, and other recycling and waste equipment. You will perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize customer downtime, utilizing field service units equipped with cutting, welding, and fabrication tools. Additionally, you will conduct repairs on hydraulic cylinders and pumps, ensuring they meet operational standards, and perform fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repairs and installations.

Responsibilities

+ Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems.

+ Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.

+ Utilize field service units equipped with cutting, welding, and fabrication tools.

+ Conduct repairs on hydraulic cylinders and pumps.

+ Perform fabrication tasks to support equipment repairs and installations.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical troubleshooting

+ Experience with balers, trash compactors, stick welding

+ Knowledge of motor valves, gear pumps, and vane pumps

+ Ability to work with 220V and 480V systems

+ Experience in hydraulic hoses and pumps

+ Familiarity with CMMS and rigging

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must have own tools

+ Candidate will be a traveling Field Service Technician, with 70% of the work from the border up to Oceanside, 10% in southern LA, and 20% in the High Desert area.

The company supplies $25 each pay period for employees to contribute towards new uniforms/shirts, maxing out at $600. This amount is supplied by the company and not deducted from the employee's paycheck. A service truck and company phone are provided to each employee.

Work Environment

You will primarily travel in a service truck, working at recycling centers and in environments with trash compactors, which can be very dirty and smell unpleasant. Work conditions can be challenging, especially during the hot summer months.

This is a Permanent position based out of National City, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.

5 federal holidays off, 5 sick days, Paid vacation time 1 weeks after 1st year and 2 weeks after 2 years. they also do supply $25 each pay period for employees to contribute towards new uniforms/shirts etc. maxes out at $600, that $25 each pay period is not taken out of their check but supplied by the company.
