Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will be responsible for assembling a wide variety of products, including small mechanical or electromechanical parts. This role involves positioning very small components using tools like tweezers and positioning fixtures, bonding or sealing parts with adhesives, and performing in-process testing. You will also review schematic drawings to confirm assembly sequences and ensure accurate assembly.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble mechanical and electromechanical parts using hand tools and equipment.
+ Position small parts such as fine pins, wires, and solder particles accurately.
+ Bond or seal parts using epoxies and heating elements.
+ Perform in-process testing to ensure product quality.
+ Review and interpret uncomplicated schematic drawings for assembly sequences.
+ Work at shoulder level, requiring some upper body strength.
+ Handle and assemble ceramic parts, which may result in grit on hands or nails.
Essential Skills
+ Good attendance and consistent job tenure.
+ Willingness to learn new skills and perform multiple tasks.
+ Ability to work well with coworkers and take direction from others.
+ Positive attitude and interest in the position.
+ Mechanical assembly and soldering experience preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Sub-assembly experience with small parts.
+ Soldering experience, especially surface board soldering.
+ Experience working under a microscope and in ESD environments.
+ Ability to work in close quarters in a team-oriented environment.
+ Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a quiet, clean, and organized environment with a layout of workstations for seated assembly work. Expect to sit for 75% of the time with music playing in the work environment. The facility is casual, with long pants, t-shirts, and closed-toe shoes required. Commitment to attendance and professionalism is vital, as the team works well together with no tolerance for drama. The shift options include 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Thursday and 5am to 1:30pm on Fridays, or 2nd shift from 2pm to 12:30am Monday to Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $20.25/hr.
