    Job Title: CNC Programmer

    Job Description

    The CNC Programmer is responsible for producing machined parts by expertly programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This role ensures adherence to quality and safety standards while maintaining records and equipment. A major portion of the job involves programming milling machines using Camworks software, both at the computer and directly at the machine.

    Responsibilities

    + Program mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.

    + Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.

    + Calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.

    + Prove part programs and set up mills by installing and adjusting various components.

    + Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.

    + Verify settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces.

    + Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, and other machining operations.

    + Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot processes.

    + Adjust and reprogram controls and replace worn tools.

    + Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.

    Essential Skills

    + 10 years of CNC Mill programming experience, including education.

    + 10+ years of experience using micrometers, calipers, and tape measure.

    + 5+ years experience with Camworks software.

    + Proficiency in CNC programming, Fanuc control, Solidworks, and GD&T.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with vertical mills and mastercam programming.

    + Knowledge of CAD/CAM, Axis, Cam, and G code.

    + Ability to interpret orthographic drawings and reference planes.

    + Familiarity with machining parameters and geometric dimensions.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
