Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator
Job Description
Perform routine operations required to set up, operate, and adjust multiple lines with conveying and winding equipment to produce products. Work from prescribed production goals and standards, schedules, manuals, detailed specifications, and collaborate with department team members, shift leadership, maintenance, and purchasing.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure the availability of raw materials and requisition needed items.
+ Assist in the selection and training of new team operators and support team members during lunches and breaks.
+ Collaborate with shift supervisor and team members to establish and achieve team production, scrap, and quality goals.
+ Maintain necessary production, quality, and equipment records.
+ Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications by auditing quality tests using electronic machines and visual inspections.
+ Evaluate deviations from specifications and assist in making decisions for machine adjustments or line shutdowns.
+ Perform routine die changes, changeovers, string-ups, shutdowns, and startups.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
