Job Title: Event Technician - Part Time
Job Description
The Event Set-Ups Technician is responsible for supporting special events and custodial projects while ensuring clean and well-maintained facilities. This role involves setting up and arranging furniture, sound systems, microphones, riser stages, and delivering custodial supplies, alongside maintaining cleanliness in designated areas.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and arrange furniture, sound systems, microphones, and riser stages for events.
+ Deliver custodial supplies to designated areas.
+ Maintain cleanliness and perform custodial duties such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing, and vacuuming.
+ Remove trash and ensure general upkeep of facilities.
+ Use hand and power tools for mechanical and assembly tasks.
+ Perform facility maintenance including floor care, buffing, and clean-up.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in custodial maintenance and janitorial duties.
+ Skill in mechanical assembly of stages, tables, chairs, and tents.
+ Proficient in using hand tools such as pliers, wire cutters, vacuums, auto scrubbers, burnishers, hammers, and brooms.
+ Knowledge of operating golf carts, forklifts, and pick-ups with lift gates.
+ Experience driving manual shift-type equipment such as tractors.
+ Ability to read, understand, and follow specific instructions and safety procedures in English.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 60-80 pounds with or without assistance.
+ Capability to walk approximately two miles per day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Valid New Mexico driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment
Work takes place in both outdoor and indoor campus environments, approximately 50% each. The position may require occasional overtime. The schedule is about 4 days a week, with 1-2 days off during the week and 1 day off on the weekend. Days off are provided 1 week in advance. This part-time position involves 25-30 hours a week. Hours require flexibility as events can start as early as 9 AM or end as late as 9 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $16.00/hr.
