Job Title: Yard Equipment Operator

Job Description:

Are you ready to join a dynamic team in the structural steel fabrication industry? We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator to efficiently manage our materials. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations in loading and unloading materials, logging inventory, and handling the shipping and receiving of heavy materials.

Responsibilities:

+ Load and unload materials with precision.

+ Accurately log inventory and maintain records.

+ Handle shipping and receiving of heavy materials.

+ Receive and move parts around the yard efficiently.

Essential Skills:

+ General labor experience.

+ Expertise in shipping and receiving.

+ Capability for manual labor and heavy lifting.

+ Proficiency in yard work and construction tasks.

+ Industrial forklift experience (not warehouse).

+ Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, lulls, yard dogs, or yard jockeys.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ Experience with forklift operation in an industrial setting.

Work Environment:

You will work in a non-climate-controlled environment that can be dirty and dusty. The facility is equipped with large industrial fans to help circulate air. This physically demanding role involves working with heavy materials, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
