Robotics Automation Technician, Grand Haven MI

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Robotics Technician for the 2nd shift, working from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift for the first four weeks. This role involves prioritizing welding troubleshooting tasks, robot programming and maintenance, and continuous process improvements, ensuring operational safety and quality standards.

+ Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance for all automation in the facility.

+ Prioritize tasks within the facility relating to weld troubleshooting, setup, and robot programming.

+ Provide adjustments to welding fixtures, CNC equipment, Swedge machinery, and more.

+ Perform predictive maintenance on robotic equipment.

+ Ensure equipment adheres to the highest safety standards for reliable operation.

+ Read and interpret CAD data, blueprints, GD&T, CMM reports, and customer weld specifications.

+ Set weld standards and parameters for new products and conduct continuous weld testing to meet or exceed customer specifications.

+ Apply and utilize manufacturing best practices for efficiency, quality, and safety.

+ Maintain good working relationships with vendors, team members, suppliers, and project teams.

+ Make necessary repairs to robotic and manufacturing equipment.

+ Identify and complete various continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

+ Adjust tooling and maintain part tolerances.

+ Perform additional functions as directed by the leader.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience as a Robotic Technician within industrial manufacturing.

+ Experience with Fanuc, ABB, and PLC troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with robotics and automation in an industrial setting.

Our facility is a roll form manufacturing company that produces steel frames for the automotive industry. The work environment involves dealing with metals, grease, hydraulics, and pneumatics, which can be on the dirtier side, typical of most metal automotive plants.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Haven, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $67600.00/yr.
