    Maintenance Mechanic

     

    Currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Hammond, IN area. Hiring immediately.

    Job Description

    + Repair and maintain industrial machinery including conveyors, shrink wrappers, stackers, ovens, sorters, power transmission, packaging machines, and palletizers.

    + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Perform MIG and Stick welding on steel material and fabrication.

    + Conduct basic electrical tasks including working up to 480v and replacing AC/DC motors.

    + Work around and understand PLCs.

    + Interpret blueprints and diagrams.

    + Realign, replace, and adjust mechanical components including belts, bearings, chains, couplings, shafts, sprockets, valves, cylinders, and gearboxes.

    + Cut, thread, and install new pipe.

    + Follow lockout/tagout procedures.

    + Rotating swing shift which will require the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts plus OT and weekends.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Apprenticeship or certified training preferred.

    + Familiarity with blueprints and diagrams.

    + Experience with mechanical realignment and adjustments.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $73923.20 - $73923.20/yr.

     

    USW - Union Benefits. Strong benefits package that covers all the majors and more. Employees will have the option to choose their package based on dependents and deductibles. I have a full package that we can discuss with candidates.

    This is a fully onsite position in Hammond,IN.
