    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who will operate CNC Mills, both vertical and horizontal, and assist with machine setup and programming. You will be responsible for running production parts, maintaining schedules, and conducting quality inspections using manual measuring equipment. Troubleshooting machine and program issues is also a key aspect of this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC Mills including vertical and horizontal models such as Okuma, Okuma Howa, and Doosan.

    + Assist with machine setup and ensure proper program editing using G&M codes and Fanuc controls.

    + Run production parts efficiently while adhering to schedules.

    + Keep track of production sheets, transitioning from paper to digital format.

    + Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges, and fill out quality sheets.

    + Troubleshoot machine and program issues.

    + Assist fellow machinists during part runs.

    + Utilize overhead cranes to manage larger parts in and out of machines.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of CNC Machining experience with Mills or Lathes.

    + Strong understanding of G&M codes for adjusting machine feeds and speeds.

    + Proficiency in changing inserts and tooling.

    + Ability to perform quality inspections with manual measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.

    + Blueprint reading skills.

    + Basic preventative maintenance on machines, including checking oil levels and lubricants.

    + Documentation of job sheets and quality inspections.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with crane operation.

    + Knowledge of Fanuc programming.

    + Ability to assist with machine setup and troubleshooting.

    Work Environment

     

    Expect to work in a heavy industrial environment with a temperature-controlled CNC area. Be prepared to work flexible shifts, currently operating on 1st and 3rd shifts. The facility features a mix of machinery including Okuma Howa and Doosan with Fanuc controls. Embrace the buddy system, fostering teamwork and support among machinists. Dress code includes PPE such as ear protection, safety glasses, and hard hats.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Eastlake, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr.
