    Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards in our fabrication processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting visual inspections, writing reports, and administering welder qualification testing, among other duties.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct visual inspections of materials before, during, and after fabrication.

    + Write detailed reports on inspection findings.

    + Run testing on finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    + Administer welder qualification testing.

    + Create travelers for products to track progress and quality.

    + Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with the quality management system.

    Essential Skills

    + Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fabrication shop.

    + At least 3 years’ experience in steel fabrication and welding.

    + Proficient in welding, fabrication, and inspection techniques.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use code books.

    + Strong knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

    + Proficient in using computers and writing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

    + Ability to use measuring equipment effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + AWS certification.

    + Ability to explain welding concepts to train other employees.

    + Good mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
