Key Responsibilities:
Avionics Technicians will be performing Avionics Modifications, Electrical Installs and Wire Routing, Terminations, and Wire Harness Fabrication / Installs for prototype military aircraft. Avionics technicians will be performing extensive wire routing, wire terminations and electrical system installs. Will be working with Coax Cables, Triax Cables, USB Connectors, etc. Will be working off of technical publications and will be required to look up part numbers and work off schematics and will need to layout electrical systems.
+ Interpret electrical engineering drawings, component installation, and wire termination lists.
+ Assist in the installation of electrical components and wiring.
+ Perform standard electrical termination processes using appropriate tooling.
+ Conduct post-installation operational checks of all installed and disturbed systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems.
+ Test avionics electrical systems and ensure proper functionality.
+ Install and troubleshoot avionics systems in General Aviation/Corporate Aircraft.
Skills & Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of experience in a 145 Repair Station.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/Associate’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
+ Experience with aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
+ Knowledge of avionic installations, troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Understanding of wiring schematics and harnesses.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Additional Skills:
+ Previous experience in General Aviation/Corporate Aircraft.
+ Familiarity with Honeywell and Gulfstream systems.
+ Military aircraft experience is a plus.
+ Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
+ Security Clearance is desired but not mandatory.
Employment Details:
+ **Duration:** contract-to-direct hire
+ **Schedule:**
+ **Monday–Thursday: 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM–4:30 PM)**
+ Friday and Saturday: 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
+ Total of 56 hours per week.
+ **Pay Rate:** $32–$38 per hour
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
