Job Title: Packaging Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Job Description
Join a team known for producing delicious sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil, free from the top 9 most common allergens. As a Packaging Operator, you will oversee operations involving Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation to meet our high standards. You will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed packaging machines to create bags for the chips. Additionally, you will perform minor troubleshooting to identify and resolve machine stoppages or jams, determining when maintenance intervention is required.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.
+ Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.
+ Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of packaging machine operation experience.
+ Minor troubleshooting skills.
+ Machine set up experience.
+ Experience in high-speed manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of GMP, filling machines, and packaging machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred experience in GMP.
+ Ability to adjust feeds and speeds.
+ Proficiency in changeover processes.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays, or 3rd shift 10pm to 6:30am Sunday through Thursday. Enjoy a clean facility that smells like French fries, with a temperature-controlled environment (no refrigeration). Adhere to GMP standards, which require wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
