    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight to and from vehicles and containers. You will sort freight based on size and destination, read and decode freight coding to expedite movement and tracing, reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests, and label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight. Additionally, you will perform cleanup activities to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the dock and record any damaged shipments or misrouted freight.

    Responsibilities

    + Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.

    + Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort freight according to size and destination.

    + Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing.

    + Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.

    + Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.

    + Perform cleanup activities to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.

    + Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes a variety of shifts: Sun-Wed 1st shift from 6:00am-4:30pm, 2nd shift from 4:00pm-2:30am, 3rd shift from 10:00pm-8:30am; Wed-Sat 1st shift from 6:00am-4:30pm, 2nd shift from 4:00pm-2:30am, 3rd shift from 10:00pm-8:30am; Fri-Mon from 6:00am-6:30pm.

    This is a Contract position based out of Independence, Kentucky.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $24.25/hr.
