Job Title: Apprentice Elevator Mechanic

Job Description

**MUST BE OPEN TO TRAVEL OUT OF STATE, MONDAY-FRIDAY** . We are seeking an Apprentice Elevator Mechanic to shadow licensed mechanics on new construction job sites or new elevator installation sites. The ideal candidate should possess excellent cleanliness, organizational skills, time management abilities, and the ability to listen to customers. Experience with MIG and stick welding is advantageous. The ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus. Candidates with a background in auto mechanics or any mechanical/electrical experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

+ Assist licensed mechanics with new elevator installations

+ Travel to new construction job sites

+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace

+ Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines

+ Listen to and address customer needs

+ Perform MIG and stick welding as required

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read a tape measure

+ Mechanical skill set

+ Comfortable working in small spaces

+ Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

+ Experience with electrical and construction tasks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to read blueprints (preferred)

+ Experience in auto mechanics

+ Familiarity with schematics and construction

Work Environment

Candidates will work primarily on new construction sites located in Louisville and Lexington. This role requires comfort working in various weather conditions and elements. The company fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where employees can thrive and develop their skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
