    Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Worker

    Job Description

    The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties, including HVAC/mechanical maintenance, light carpentry, light plumbing, and light electrical work. The candidate will also assist with conference room setups, A/V equipment, replacing lighting and ballasts, and moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. General interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and repairing doors are also part of this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform HVAC/mechanical maintenance

    + Conduct light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work

    + Set up conference rooms

    + Assist with A/V equipment setup

    + Replace lighting and ballasts

    + Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment

    + Hang pictures and install keyboard trays

    + Repair office furniture systems and doors

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance

    + Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance preferred

    + Comfortable with work order systems, specifically Corigo

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    + Comfortable working on ladders

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Personable and willing to interact with lab staff and company personnel

    + Experience in light carpentry and painting

    + Experience with air filter inspection and replacement

    + Open to work in mailroom/stockroom and/or shipping & receiving

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes an 8-floor building consisting of conference space, offices, and a kitchen area. There are also labs on 2 floors, but maintenance work in these labs is not expected.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
