    5am to 1pm or 9pm to 5am

    Job Description

    The machine operator will be responsible for operating a rewinder machine that processes large rolls, cutting and rewinding them according to client specifications. The role involves setting up the machine, performing change outs, and managing machine parts. Operators will work from and interpret work orders to set up their machines appropriately, change out rolls, insert rolls into the rewinder machine, and check for quality errors to ensure proper machine operation. The operator will also handle the palletizing and wrapping of the finished product. Troubleshooting experience is a plus, as operators must check machines regularly, report issues to managers, and identify problems. A high level of attention to detail and productivity is required to understand and manage the job flow and process.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and set up the rewinder machine according to client specifications.

    + Perform machine change outs and manage machine parts.

    + Read and interpret work orders to guide machine setup.

    + Insert rolls into the rewinder machine and ensure quality checks.

    + Palletize and wrap finished product.

    + Troubleshoot and report any machine issues to management.

    + Maintain high productivity and attention to detail.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of machine operating experience.

    + Mechanical aptitude and basic machine knowledge.

    + Experience with reading tape measures and using hand tools.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Experience working in a production environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with troubleshooting and repairs is a plus.

    + Experience working off layout or work orders.

    + Maintenance of machines experience is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is located in a non-climate controlled warehouse with three shifts available: 1st shift from 5am to 1pm, 2nd shift from 1pm to 9pm, and 3rd shift from 9pm to 5am. Training and orientation will be conducted on 1st shift. The position requires being on your feet for 8 hours a day and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. The company provides coffee, Gatorade, and freeze pops during the summer.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
