Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for safely using various types of hand tools, hand-held power tools, automated termination machines, and other electronics manufacturing equipment. Your role includes setting up, loading, making minor adjustments, and performing minor maintenance on these tools and equipment. You will perform inspection and verification of product quality throughout the assembly process to ensure zero defects, package finished and inspected products for shipment, and follow all assembly documentation precisely.
Responsibilities
+ Safely use various hand tools, hand-held power tools, automated termination machines, and other electronics manufacturing equipment.
+ Set up, load, and perform necessary minor adjustments and maintenance of hand-held and automated manufacturing tools and equipment.
+ Inspect and verify product quality throughout the assembly process to ensure zero defects.
+ Package finished and inspected products for shipment.
+ Read, understand, and follow all assembly documentation each time an assembly is built.
+ Ensure the assembly line operates in strict accordance with the correct revision of assembly documentation.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in assembly and production.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
+ Basic understanding of wiring, harness components, and equipment terminologies (e.g., stripping, tinning, crimping, lacing, splicing, component identification).
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Effective written and verbal communication.
+ Great attention to detail and good hand dexterity skills.
+ Ability to arrive to work on time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with soldering, cable assembly, wiring, and general labor in electrical environments.
+ Knowledge of electronics, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and blueprints.

Work Environment
Work in a clean electronics manufacturing facility where each employee has their own work station to complete their portion of the assemblies. Employees are required to wear smocks and shoe straps while on the production floor. The standard work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Meridian, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
