Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a mechanically-inclined team player who is capable of reading work orders and blueprints to assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits for various industries, including car wash, machine tool coolant, and oil and gas. You will be trained in forklift operation and pump/valve testing, and will be part of a team that manufactures and assembles over 100 different types of pumps, ranging from entry-level to expert-level assembly. Expect to complete full assemblies from start to finish, as well as sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

+ Read work orders and blueprints to assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits.

+ Complete full assemblies and sub-assemblies from start to finish.

+ Operate forklifts and conduct pump/valve testing after training.

+ Move between different assembly lines, working with various leads/supervisors and departments such as warehouse, kitting, and shipping/receiving.

+ Demonstrate general mechanical aptitude in a production/manufacturing setting.

Essential Skills

+ General mechanical aptitude and experience in a production/manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.

+ Capability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ 6+ months mechanical assembly experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

+ 1+ year work history in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Interest and initiative in learning products.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with roughly 100 employees across two divisions: CNC machining and assembly/shipping/receiving. You will not work on an assembly line, but rather engage in a variety of tasks, including forklift operation, material movement, and pump testing. The environment is organized and safe, assembling approximately 15,000 pumps per year, ensuring varied and engaging work. The shift is from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with voluntary overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
