What would you do as a Maintenance Technician?
The Maintenance Technician series is responsible for maintenance of our buildings and grounds to ensure the safety of all employees, patients and visitors. You can expect to regularly:
+ Perform repairs within building and on grounds as needed to maintain safety and proper functioning, including building maintenance and painting if needed;
+ Move furniture, boxes, and equipment as needed;
+ Maintain and operate equipment, including lawn mower, snow blower, weed eater, drills, saws, hammers, etc.;
+ Ensure building and grounds are clean and safe including cleaning building areas (including cleaning bio-hazardous material), sweeping sidewalks and entry ways, picking up trash and trimming shrubs;
+ Maintain lawn sprinkler system;
+ Change lightbulbs and ballasts as needed and report any electrical concern to manager immediately;
+ Maintain a schedule of inspecting all maintenance rooms, the ROSC generator and electrical system, filters, drains, sinks, 6th Street roof patio, and other areas as needed;
+ Work with outside contractors for heating and cooling units, fire sprinklers, fire and security alarms, fire extinguishers, plumbing, electrical, etc.;
+ Participate in Fire and Police Department and State building safety inspections;
+ Assist in inventory checks and shipping/receiving materials and supplies as needed;
+ Drive company vehicle for company purposes as needed.
+ Responsible for assisting with inspection schedules and contractor work;
Requirements
Certifications/Educations:
+ High School Diploma
+ Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of:
+ Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry;
+ Basic knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety standards;
Experience:
+ Documenting work performed;
+ One year of related experience.
Work Environment
This position is for our main location in Downtown Reno.
Note: This position is considered a Safety-Sensitive position, incumbents may be subject to drug screening (both before and during employment).
