Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Process Technician responsible for changing out, setting up, and getting plastic injection machinery ready to run, as well as operating these machines. You will be responsible for start-ups, shut downs, and troubleshooting the equipment until achieving a good first run. This role includes rigging and hoisting molds in and out of machinery, disassembling, cleaning, checking, and reassembling molds, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting the molds as needed. Safe operation and utilization of LOTO are essential. Additionally, you will train new mold and process technicians and collaborate with the tool room on tooling needs and repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Change out, set up, and operate plastic injection machinery

+ Perform start-ups, shut downs, and troubleshoot equipment

+ Rig and hoist molds in and out of machinery

+ Disassemble, clean, check, and reassemble molds

+ Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on molds

+ Utilize LOTO and ensure safe operation

+ Train new mold and process technicians

+ Collaborate with the tool room on tooling needs and repairs

Essential Skills

+ Experience in the plastic injection molding industry

+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to crank a wrench and perform basic PMs on molds

+ Ability to troubleshoot red flags identified with molds

+ Proficient in using hand, power, and pneumatic tools

+ Ability to utilize forklifts and hoists for changing out molds

+ Ability to follow process sheets on-site with step-by-step instructions for specific jobs

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and climb ladders

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
