    Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician

    Job Description

    This is a 2nd shift Electrical Assembly Position working in the Over Mold Area. The working hours are 3:30 pm-2:00 am, Monday through Thursday. Employees are informed on Wednesday morning if overtime will be required on Friday and/or Saturday. Training will occur on 1st shift from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. Please note, this project will run through August with no hire-in opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up jobs for the day and complete necessary tasks in the over mold department.

    + Load wires into molds and cycle them into the press.

    + Operate and set up injection molding machines and adjust parameters to meet part specifications.

    + Ensure quality by monitoring and documenting processes.

    + Utilize hand tools and power tools for electrical assembly and wiring.

    Essential Skills

    + Blueprint or schematic reading

    + Ability to read a tape measure

    + Experience using basic hand tools

    + Proficiency with electrical wiring and assembly

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Plastic Injection Molding Background

    + Experience with crimping devices, wire machines, and strip machines

    Work Environment

     

    The facility is clean and involves manual labor with a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. Employees work as a team on the assembly line and during wire spooling in a casual environment. Dress code includes shirts with sleeves and steel toe boots. One earbud for headphones is allowed during work. Safety glasses and gloves are provided if needed. The shop is not temperature-controlled and consists of small teams of 4-6 people, with a total of 20 people on the 1st shift. Referrals are welcomed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
