The Elevator Pitch
Evolv is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the ongoing enhancement and sustainment of Evolv Express®, our flagship walk-through weapons detection system, with over 6,000 units deployed globally. In this role, you will also own the product strategy and development for the Evolv Tablet, which integrates real-time data from Evolv Express and Evolv eXpedite (our bag x-ray system), providing users with a unified security interface.
As Product Manager, your focus will be to deliver meaningful product improvements—enhancing capabilities, increasing reliability, and reducing costs—to drive customer adoption, subscription renewals, and long-term product value. This is a high-impact leadership role which requires a solid understanding of core engineering domains, including mechanical and electrical engineering, firmware, embedded systems, user interface software, and applied AI.
Success in the Role: What performance outcomes over the first 6 months will you work toward completing?
Within 3 months, you will:
+ Meet with customers and observe Express in live environments to understand how product performance impacts security operations and customer return on investment
+ Support a go-live installation to gain first-hand insight into deployment success factors and customer pain points.
+ Present a brief to leadership outlining initial impression of the market, and product improvement opportunities aligned to customer impact
+ Build strong relationships across R&D, Technical Support, and Field Service to ensure effective execution of product strategies.
+ Refine the product roadmap to prioritize initiatives with clear links to customer satisfaction, system uptime, and cost-efficiency, earning stakeholder buy-in
By 6 months, you will:
+ Deliver at least one roadmap initiative that improves system performance, reliability, or customer experience.
+ Lead the successful field testing of a new feature update.
+ Launch a new version of Express software and enable internal teams and partners to sell and support the update effectively.
+ Educate internal and partner field teams as well as customers on the new features in the launch
+ Be recognized as the go-to product leader for Express by driving cross-functional alignment and delivering against performance metrics like Net Promoter Score, renewal rate, and time-to-resolution.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What key responsibilities or requirements will you be executing regularly?
Product Execution and Strategy
+ Own and execute the product roadmap to deliver reliability improvements, cost reductions, and differentiated features that support subscription renewals and new business.
+ Write clear and actionable product requirements and guide Research & Development teams in design trade-off decisions.
+ Identify and implement country-specific compliance requirements for market expansion.
GTM Readiness
+ Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to prepare go-to-market teams for new feature launches.
+ Develop and maintain product pricing, SKUs, and price books; train internal and partner teams on product positioning and value.
+ Contribute to customer proposals, deal desk discussions, and field training to accelerate sales and reduce friction in closing.
Product Quality & Lifecycle Management
+ Coordinate field testing, third-party validation, and Change Control Board activities to ensure high-quality releases.
+ Manage certified pre-owned and rental system programs to drive new revenue streams and reduce inventory waste.
+ Write software release notes and support post-launch monitoring for adoption and issue resolution.
Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration
+ Serve as a product expert across the organization—supporting Sales, Technical Support, and Cybersecurity audits.
+ Foster strategic partnerships that enhance the Express ecosystem and unlock new revenue or capabilities.
+ Contribute to customer evaluations of Evolv’s cybersecurity posture
