Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machinist and Programmer to join our small, dynamic team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes to machine precision parts in small lots. The successful candidate will program CNC machines using Mastercam and SolidWorks, and make live edits on 3-axis and 5-axis mills. This is a first-shift position, working from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Fridays. The work environment is clean and safe, with limited supervision required.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes to machine precision parts.

+ Program CNC machines using Mastercam and SolidWorks.

+ Load and edit programs at the machine.

+ Make live edits to machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis edits.

+ Understand and work with G&M codes.

+ Read and interpret blueprints.

+ Work independently with limited to no supervision.

Work Environment

You will work in a well-lit, organized shop with about 20 employees. Collaborate closely with one other knowledgeable machinist and receive occasional support from the engineering department.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
