Job Title: Maintenance Lead Technician

Job Description

Leads and performs maintenance of facilities and equipment to maximize Operations performance. Prioritizes and coordinates work assignments for Senior Maintenance Technicians/Maintenance Technicians to ensure critical work assignments are completed correctly and on a timely basis. Coaches Senior Maintenance Technicians/Maintenance Technicians through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, and communication of good maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

+ Directs, schedules and performs preventative maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs to material-handling equipment.

+ Performs preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high-tech automated equipment.

+ Uses Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)-generated preventive maintenance worksheets to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and good maintenance practices.

+ Maintains a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning material-handling equipment or distribution center facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment and components

+ Experience with integrated systems with PLCs

+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley PLCs (both old and new models)

+ Knowledge of high-speed automated sorting machines, VFDs, photo eyes, sensors, robotic equipment, and gantry cranes

+ Familiarity with PLC PM programs and updating computer status using TMI Systems

Work Environment

Technicians will be in charge of equipment such as mechanical and electrical equipment and components, 3 phase motors (480v), integrated systems with PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs, high-speed automated sorting machines, VFDs, photo eyes, sensors, robotic equipment, gantry cranes, and 30 miles of conveyors, 4 sorters, and 12 cranes. The role involves PLC PM programs and updating computer status using TMI Systems (software).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65582.00 - $100235.00/yr.
