Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems in various environments. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling standards, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Installation: Install structured cabling systems including fiber optic and copper cables, connectors, and related hardware.

+ Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the integrity and performance of cabling systems.

+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to cabling infrastructure, including connectivity problems and signal loss.

+ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

+ Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and best practices, including TIA/EIA, BICSI, and NEC codes.

+ Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

+ Experience: Minimum of 3-6 months of experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance.

+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications such as BICSI Installer or Technician are preferred.

+ Skills: Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to cabling installation. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

+ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.

+ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with team members and clients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
