    Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 40 hours

     

    Summary of Position

     

    The duties and responsibilities of this position are to design, draw and maintain plans, maps, and construction drawings pertaining to the operations of the Facilities Management Division.

     

    Minimum Required Education

     

    Associates Degree preferred, Certificate of Completion or Occupational Skills Achievement ( OSA ) Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting ( CAD ) and Design from an accredited institution is required.

     

    Will consider applicants with two additional years of facilities or construction experience who earn a CAD degree or certificate within one year of date of hire.

    Minimum Required Experience

    Three years of full time facilities or construction related experience. Experience with Computer-Aided Drafting and Design software preferred.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Must be capable of using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting to develop floor plans, update construction drawings, and develop minor construction plans.

    • Must have good customer service and written and verbal communication skills.

    • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Be able to read and write English

    • Self-motivated and a team player

    • Must be able to comprehend oral and written instructions

    • Must be able to competently perform assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

    • Must have good analytical skills (planning), technical skills (construction methodologies, reading blueprints and drawings, technical specifications), time management skills (scheduling), presentation skills, problem solving skills and mathematical skills.
