Job** **Summary:
The Associate Scientist will perform routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines while supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency.
What** **you’ll** **be** **doing:
+ Perform and document analytical procedures with accuracy and consistency, following SOPs and regulatory standards.
+ Analyze data to verify procedures meet acceptable tolerances, escalating issues to senior lab personnel.
+ Prepare and upload data analysis results to LIMS systems under guidance from senior staff.
+ Conduct equipment calibration, maintenance, and hands-on training for staff in areas of proven competency.
+ Assist with quality investigations, procedural updates, and implementation of changes.
+ Prepare buffers, solutions, and reagents for laboratory analysis as required.
+ Monitor inventory and notify staff of supply shortages to ensure operational continuity.
+ Represent lab teams in cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders to meet objectives.
+ Ensures proper documentation in accordance with good documentation practices, SOP's, and regulatory guidelines.
+ Assists in maintaining and troubleshooting related equipment and may offer suggestions for new equipment.
+ Works under moderate supervision in accordance with policies and procedures to perform routine activities involved in the preparation of slides, for microscopic evaluation by pathologist(s).
+ Responsible for performing staining procedures to support pathological assessment.
+ Partners with Pathologist(s) to facilitate analysis and timely delivery of results.
+ Operates and performs routine maintenance on histology laboratory equipment.
What** **We** **Are** **Looking** **For:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology ( _required_ ).
+ Minimum of 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment ( _preferred_ ).
+ Working knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
+ _Other_ _equivalent_ _combination_ _of_ _education,_ _training,_ _and_ _experience_ _may_ _be_ _accepted_ _in_ _lieu_ _of_ _a_ _degree._
The** **Knowledge,** **Skills,** **and** **Abilities** **needed** **for** **this** **role:
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirements (e.g., typing, computer use, reading small prints). Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
+ Proficiency with automation or specialized laboratory equipment and routine calculations (e.g., averages, means, standard deviations, QC metrics).
+ Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
+ Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ability to collaborate with internal teams seamlessly
Detailed knowledge and proficiency with performing histology techniques, specialized laboratory equipment, clinical testing procedures, staining techniques and applicable laboratory testing regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues. Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
