We are seeking an **_Academic Program Administrator_** to oversee all aspects of day-to-day administration of the School of Nursing (SON) DNP Advanced Practice & Post Master’s Certificate Programs. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and management skills, including data analysis, project management, coordination of task forces/other groups, and implementation/evaluation skills. This position is part of the Academic Affairs team and reports directly to the Academic Program Director.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
_Major Responsibilities_
+ Implement processes, procedures, policies, and systems. May include course scheduling, maintaining student and other databases, student worker tracking mechanisms.
+ Work closely with the Program Director, Associate Directors and Track Directors in the day-to-day operations of the program. This requires planning, coordination, knowledge and understanding of the academic program.
+ Provide administrative support for various standing meetings/ committees in the SON (i.e., schedule meetings, collect agenda items and meeting documents, take meeting minutes, disseminate information to committee members, manage follow-up) for the following committees/meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, the DNP curriculum committee, DNP AP/MSN admissions committee, DNP progressions committee, track director meeting, policy committee, graduation committee
+ Work closely with counterparts in SON and University wide departments.
+ Follow FERPA regulations in maintaining confidential student information.
+ Create strategic direction and manage program internal and external websites in collaboration with
_Marketing and Communications_
+ Manage logistics associated with events.
+ Represent the program in administrative matters. May include issues pertaining to space, facilities, technology, student information system, classroom support, etc.
+ Responsible for program communication and coordination.
+ Monitor course enrollments, plans of study, and communicate with advisors/track directors
+ Keeping the program director informed of meeting/programmatic developments.
+ Exercise independent judgment and apply knowledge of administrative and academic operating policies to support student success.
+ Assist students with administrative tasks and issues, including letters of good academic standing, student welcome information, facilitation of transfer of credit review processes, and postgraduation/employment documentation.
+ Manage applicable aspects of accreditation for the programs, including, but not limited to program reports such as student attrition, LOA, pass rates reports from advanced practice nursing certifying agencies (ANCC, AACN, PNCB, AANP); compile data onto spreadsheet to be disseminated to SON & program leadership
+ In collaboration with the Program Director and Program leadership, contribute to the planning, establishment, and oversight of the program budgets and expenditures
+ Collaborate with program leadership to maintain regulatory compliance with state board, accreditation, and other related agencies’ requirements.
+ Understand and partner in the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure these values are maintained throughout all aspects of the programs and in day-to-day interactions.
+ May be appointed, selected or volunteer to work as a member of university-wide specified workgroups, and/or SON special workgroups to complete and report specified tasks and outcomes.
+ Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Excellent interpersonal, oral, organizational, and written communication skills.
+ Excellent computer and technology skills (internet and software applications; word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
+ Knowledge of APA format.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ Three years progressively responsible experience in program administration in an academic environment.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with database management.

Starting Salary Range: $48,000 - $84,100 Annually ($66,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)

The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity.
