We are seeking a Risk Management and Claims Analyst to join our team in Chicago, IL. The Risk Management and Claims Analyst will assist with general liability and auto claims for other Brookfield Properties sectors including Office, Multifamily, Hospitality and Logistics.
Role & Responsibilities:
+ Monitor status of claims and update litigation database and electronic files
+ Gather information needed to defend litigation
+ Assist with written discovery responses
+ Respond to routine subpoenas
+ Coordinate information collection between outside counsel and field personnel
+ Manage legal hold process for insured claims
+ Prepare reports and statuses as requested
+ Additional projects and duties as assigned
+ Other duties may be assigned
Your Qualifications:
+ Must have a bachelor's degree; Paralegal Certificate or paralegal courses are a plus
+ 1-2 years’ experience
+ Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems
+ Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
+ Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing
+ Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
+ Must be able to work independently and be proactive

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Non-exempt (overtime eligible)
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000
Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Retirement: 401(k)
Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
