Job Summary

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for driving DevOps automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native solutions within Azure. This role will focus on codifying infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and governance to create scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud environments. The engineer may lead automation initiatives, enforce GitOps practices, and enhance platform reliability through code-driven solutions. They will collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline cloud-native architectures, improve deployment automation, and establish best practices for DevOps automation. The ideal candidate has experience in cloud automation, strong programming and scripting skills, and a passion for optimizing cloud operations through automation.

Job Responsibilities

+ The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for driving DevOps automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native solutions within Azure

+ This role will focus on codifying infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and governance to create scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud environments

+ Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) to automate provisioning and configuration of Azure cloud resources

+ Develop CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, enabling fully automated deployments and continuous integration

+ Experienced in deploying containers and container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and its components

+ Experience with Kubernetes components like Ingress Controllers, Cert Managers, Custom Resource Definitions, and RBAC access security

+ Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments

+ Skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation

+ Experienced in monitoring, alerting, and observability stack

+ Experience with shell scripts, editors, SSH, git

External Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or related field

+ Knowledge of coding web or mobile applications

+ Knowledge of Agile

+ Willing to travel up to 10 % of the time for business purposes ((within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 1 yr or if they have accumulated a year worth of experience in any internship or personal projects

+ Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions

+ Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

+ DevOps

+ Skilled in scripting like Bash, Python, Ruby etc

+ Working knowledge of Automation software like Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible etc.

+ Working knowledge of deployments using Containers/Dockers,CI/CD pipelines

+ Exposure to Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS or GCP and Linux
