• KRON4+ Streaming Producer

    Nexstar Media Inc. station, KRON4, the San Francisco Bay Area's Local News Station, is looking for a Streaming Producer to champion our KRON4+ streaming initiative. This is hands on role will create and schedule compelling KRON4+ local programming with the goal of driving CTV downloads and increasing streaming views. This position will produce, edit videos and create some graphics. The streaming producer will work out of our San Francisco studio on The Embarcadero.

     

    KRON4 News does more news than any other station in the Bay Area. We produce 13.5 hours of news on weekdays, and 9 hours over the weekend.

     

    This will be a full-time, non-union, non-exempt position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Develop, produce and edit programming for KRON4+ under direction of News Management and Programming Panel.

    + Help create weekly and weekend ‘run schedule’ for KRON4+, ensure all video content ready

    + Review daily analytics, hit determined metrics

    + Be the station’s expert for operation and training of new CTV/OTT systems

    + Leverage KRON4 archives to create unique streaming content

    + Assist in coordinating ‘big event’ and ‘breaking’ opportunities on KRON4

    + + Monitor stream weekly to make sure content is playing and viewer experience is positive.

    + Work with Creative Services and News EPs to find opportunities for promotion in newscasts.

    + Backup news producer when needed, vacation fill in. Works with executive producer to assign and manage field crews.

    REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

    + Prior experience producing a compelling newscast or streaming show

    + Experience with streaming systems and desktop editing software

    + Demonstrated ability to work with writers, reporters and assignment desk editors

    + College degree or equivalent in journalism/communications or broadcasting preferred

     

    Compensation: $32.00/HR to commensurate with experience and skill level
