• Biomedical Equipment Technician I

    Seattle Children's (Seattle, WA)


    _Full time (40 hours every two week pay period). Day Shift/Benefits Eligible_

     

    _Main Campus_

     

    Maintain equipment in a safe and proper operating condition. Under close supervision repairs, calibrates, and maintains all types of basic medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments and systems. Inspect, install and provide preventative maintenance to general medical equipment. Ensure the Maintenance program meets DNV/JCAHO, local, state, and federal compliance requirements.

     

    Required Education and Experience

     

    AA degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent training in Biomedical Equipment Maintenance in a recognized training institution, such as military service schools, or comparable civilian programs.

     

    Six months experience working as an intern Biomed trainee within a healthcare/medical equipment environment.

     

    An internship in a Hospital and/or some experience working with a Medical Device Manufacturer or Vendor.

    Required Credentials

    If assigned to a Home Care Services department, a copy of required education for this position (diploma or transcript) must be submitted upon hire.

     

    Preferred

     

    Certification by ICC/AAMI (International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering & Biomedical Technology/Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation).

     

    3 months minimum working in the Biomedical Services field.

     

    Compensation Range

     

    $31.28 - $46.93 per hour

     

    Salary Information

     

    This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
