Some of what you'll be doing:
As the Aviation Security & Safety Manager, you will assist in the development and lead the implementation of an aligned security strategy for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). You will serve as a key member of SEA Aviation Security’s leadership and be responsible for working with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance of the related solutions.
* Coordinate and implement plans and programs to mitigate risks and threats specifically on the landside of SEA and at offsite locations.
* Develop, plan, and follow through on related capital projects and/or purchases designed to mitigate identified risks.
* Identify best practices and provide industry feedback about SEA with key airport organizations, Airports Council International (ACI) and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
* Serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders on issues relating to employee safety and security on the landside of the airport.
* Represent SEA on public safety and security focus groups and airport committees as needed.
* Lead and steer Port-led, security focused programs and initiatives such as SEA Cares and Anti-Human Trafficking.
* Act as a secondary Aviation Security Capital Projects Liaison for positional knowledge and fill in when necessary.
Who you are:
* **Experienced** – You have five (5) years of experience in program management with aviation security, aviation operations, and/or public safety.

What else you need to know:
+ **Work Schedule** – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies.
+ **Work Environment** – You will primarily work in an office environment.
+ **Washington State Residency Requirement** – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
+ **Security Requirements** – As the successful candidate, you will/must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance. You will also be required to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
