Essential Job Summary:

The Scale Operator will bemainly responsiblefor weighing in and weight out solid waste vehicles from both company drivers andthird partyvendors/haulers. They willbe in charge ofreceiving payments, checking loads, andensuring the safety of the landfill and scale at all times.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

+ Serve as first point of contact for any drivers, customers, or other traffic at the scale house

+ Accurately calculate and process payments,weightsand other measurements

+ Verify incoming loads do notcontainany unnecessary or inappropriate material

+ Various administrative tasks including regular filing, data entry and reporting

+ Providegeneral upkeep of the scale house

+ Additionalduties as assigned.

Work Environment: Scale Operator

+ This Scale Operator will be based out of North Arlington, NJ.

+ Required to use motor coordination such as typing, machineoperating, etc. throughout the greater part of thework day

+ Daily exposure to physical environment including odors, loud noises, weather elements, etc.

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

+ Scale Master Certification

+ Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.

+ High school/GED educationcompleted,higher education is a plus.

+ Minimum 2 years of warehouse environment experience.

+ Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred.

+ Experience working with scales is strongly preferred.

+ Working knowledge of general computer skills.

+ Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment

+ Consistently capable of working independently to safely analyze and resolve problems.

+ Fluency in Englishrequired, Spanish bilingual is a plus.
