    The Senior Software Developer is responsible for developing, updating, and supporting all the programs that run OSM. This includes windows programs, APIs, scheduled jobs, services, and interfacing with multiple types of databases. Our environments include local servers, datacenter servers, and IaaS in Azure. This individual supports the programs by developing, updating, troubleshooting, debugging, documenting, and resolving any technical issues that arise.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Develop high-quality software through all phases of the software development life cycle.

    + Work collaboratively with other SW developers to design best quality solutions that empower company growth.

    + Define application problems/issues by conferring with users in the organization and evaluating procedures and processes.

    + Maintain and modify existing applications in all OSM areas of operation including processing, production, accounting, and external vendor/customer interfaces.

    + Create new programs/processes to support a cloud hybrid environment

    + Perform maintenance programming for existing versions, including troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing any issues in programs.

    + Document development phases and monitor systems.

    + Document vendor and customer interfaces.

    + Provide user support on a continuing basis.

    Required skills, education, and experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science.

    + 5+ years of experience in software development with a solid understanding of databases.

    + Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other staff members.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team.

    + Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS or GIT.

    + Knowledge of computer languages and programs including SQL, C#, .Net Frameworks/Core.

    + Expertise in developing in C# and SQL (MS, MySQL, or MariaDB).

    Preferred skills, education, and experience:

    + Experience with GIT.

    + Experience using MySql/MariaDb with Columnstore and Innodb engines.

    + AWS Cloud experience.

    + Familiarity with USPS shipping requirements.

    + Expertise in API and Microservices/SOA development.

    + Previous experience leading technical projects.
