A Day in the Life:
L’Oréal’s R&I Augmented Beauty team is a multidisciplinary fast-paced startup-style team within L’Oréal that is dedicated to developing and launching groundbreaking new beauty technologies that empower consumers through personalized products and experiences.

The Innovation team within Augmented Beauty focuses on upstream innovations: identifying promising technologies, developing new concepts, testing approaches, and integrating into first prototypes. The team works by partnering with external tech companies, startups, engineering firms alongside internal beauty and formula experts.
Your responsibilities will include:
We're looking for a driven and proactive Associate Product Manager that is excited to join this team, learn about developing and prototyping beauty innovation projects, and create the future of beauty tech with us!
This Associate Product Manager will support the framing, prototyping, development, and project management of beauty technology innovation projects. This role may work on diagnostic, device, data, or digital projects. Responsibilities include:
+ Manage day-to-day digital service and beauty tech innovation projects
+ Support the development of product strategy, digital customer experience definition, and specifications for digital services (webapps, apps, diagnostics, connected devices, etc.)
+ Conduct need finding research through consumer study reports to understand consumer needs and market trends
+ Conduct design sprints to develop digital service concepts, wireframes, and prototypes from concept to engineering
+ Review and analyze scientific literature, collaborating with experts to develop the scientific foundation of digital service innovations
+ Create and own project plans with multiple development workstreams (hardware, design, software, formula, etc.) and ensure milestones and deliverables are met
+ Track project activities and own timelines; create documentation
+ Oversee design and engineering work, testing functional and UX prototypes, providing feedback, and tracking technical issues to resolution
What you may work on:
+ Digital Service Innovations across Skin, Hair, Makeup etc.
+ Development of new algorithms, recommendation engines, data streams, and personalization platforms
+ Scientific areas including biological testing, environmental data, longevity, and skin health
+ New digital consumer experiences for beauty
We Are Looking For:
+ Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
+ Organized and detail-oriented project management skills
+ Ability to work independently to explore and prototype innovation concepts from beginning to end
+ Passionate about science, design and technology; product and consumer mindset
+ Familiarity with software/digital concepts (API, app development, logic and algorithms)
+ Experience handling and switching between complex technical projects
+ Comfortable communicating ideas and technical concepts clearly, both verbally and through PowerPoint presentations
+ A team player that can work well with others and interface with our internal experts and external partners
To be considered, you must be:
+ A recent graduate (within one year of graduation) with a BS and/or MS in Chemistry, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar program
+ Able to commute to the L’Oréal office, located in Jersey City and Clark, New Jersey at least three days a week
+ Able to work in the USA on an ongoing basis
+ Available for occasional travel (up to 10%)

+ Base Salary: $40.87/hour (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
