Purpose of Role:
The Legal Counsel will primarily support the client documentation team in North America working closely with senior counsel and develops into areas of greater responsibility.

The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.
The Legal Department supports functional areas across Marex with timely, focused, practical legal services.
Responsibilities:
+ Draft, review, and negotiate client-facing contracts supporting multiple business lines including: prime brokerage, ISDA, OTC swaps documentation, securities lending, repurchase, foreign exchange and futures products by drafting, negotiating, editing, evaluating, and advising on client-facing agreements, including:
+ ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules, and Credit Support Annexes
+ Repurchase Agreements (sponsored and non-sponsored)
+ Master Securities Lending Agreements
+ Futures & Options Execution and Clearing Agreements
+ Prime Brokerage Agreements, including related custody agreements
+ Trade Confirmations
+ Authorized Participant Agreements
+ And ancillary documents, like parent guarantees and credit agreements.
+ Contribute to maintaining, updating and revising new and existing client-facing agreements, amendments, and terminations.
+ Effectively report the status of areas of responsibility on a regular basis to manager.
+ Liaise with sales and onboarding teams to effectively and efficiently accomplish tasks.
+ Distil complex legal issues into workable frameworks or reference guides for sales and onboarding teams.
+ Collaborate and influence stakeholders through oral and written communications.
+ Collaborate on and contribute to other projects within the Legal Department as needed.
+ Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements with the rules of the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges
+ Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
+ Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

+ To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
+ To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.

Skills and Experience
+ JD/LLM from an accredited US law school and admission to a state bar.
+ Degree in business administration, finance, economics or similar discipline is preferred.
+ At least one to three years' experience working in a bank or other financial services environment focused on reviewing some or all relevant client-facing agreements.
+ Prior experience in financial services law with a focus on hedge funds, mutual funds, and managed accounts
+ Exposure to cross-border concerns and clients in a variety of jurisdictions is a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to break down complex, interrelated legal documentation for business stakeholders into useful, actionable items.
+ Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
Salary Range: $175,000 to $225,000 per year and eligible for a discretionary bonus
