The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Content and Editorial Strategy Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong editorial expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial markets and investment strategies. This is a critical role that will be instrumental in managing and executing Neuberger Berman’s significant content demands, including thought leadership initiatives, product marketing efforts, and messaging for the firm’s brand.
As the Content and Editorial Strategy Lead, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Content and Editorial to refine and implement the firm’s editorial strategy. You will partner with subject matter experts, Channel Marketing teams, and other stakeholders to drive process efficiency, ensure leadership continuity, and deliver impactful, high-quality content that aligns with the firm’s goals and resonates with diverse audiences.

The Team
The Global Marketing organization at Neuberger Berman comprises key Centers of Excellence across Brand Experience, Content, Media Relations, and Channel Marketing, as well as Investment Communications and RFP. Together, this team is a dynamic hub of creativity and strategy, dedicated to driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. With a dual mandate for operational efficiency and business expansion, we leverage data-driven insights, innovative campaigns, and compelling investment communications to connect with our audience and deliver measurable results. We collaborate closely with teams across the firm to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts, optimizing processes, and maximizing impact for sustained success.
Responsibilities
Content Creation and Strategy:
+ Lead and execute the creation of key thought leadership pieces, ensuring alignment with the firm’s goals and brand positioning.
+ Develop content across various platforms, including insights posts, podcast episodes, videos, emails, social posts, and website copy.
+ Partner with subject matter experts and Channel Marketing teams to identify and prioritize content themes and topics.
+ Collaborate with the Head of Content to implement and refine the firm’s editorial strategy.
Editorial Calendar and Process Management:
+ Help manage the firm’s editorial calendar to ensure the timely delivery of content across multiple channels.
+ Drive process consistency and efficiency for content development efforts.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Provide support and feedback to writers, designers, and subject matter experts to ensure the highest quality output.
+ Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on distribution strategies to maximize content visibility and impact via digital platforms, social media, and industry publications.
Leadership:
+ Demonstrate leadership by motivating and guiding teams, fostering professional growth among team members.
Compliance and Industry Awareness:
+ Ensure all content adheres to the firm’s tone, style, and compliance guidelines.
+ Stay informed on regulatory requirements, compliance considerations, and industry trends relevant to the asset management sector.
Qualifications and Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, finance, or a related field; Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
+ 7+ years of experience in content creation, editorial management, or financial marketing, preferably within the asset management or financial services environment.
+ Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), digital marketing tools, and SEO best practices.
+ Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and macroeconomic trends.
+ Familiarity with asset classes such as equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a proven ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
+ Ability to tailor content to institutional clients, advisors, and retail investors across global regions such as the US, UK, EMEA, and APAC.
+ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
+ Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide teams, fostering professional growth and delivering high-quality content.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency in establishing best practice SOPs, managing editorial calendars and ensuring timely content delivery.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $160,000-$190,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
