Job Summary and Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist

At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of people in West Florida. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a part-time basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!

Your tasks and responsibilities as Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to:

+ Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

+ Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure

+ Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

+ Communicate effectively with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.

Qualifications

+ A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

+ Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

+ 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

+ Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills

+ Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
