    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Nuclear Medical Technologist

     

    Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

    Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Utilize radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans

    + Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders

    + Administer and record dosages

    + Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce image(s) on photographic film

    + Position patients and adjust immobilization devices

    + Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns

    + Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation

    + Assist with patient transport

    Qualifications

    + Vocational/Technical education

    + Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program

    + Clear/Active Florida Department of Health license (CRT)

    + Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    + Valid ARRT (NM) and/or NMTCB certification required

    + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire

    + Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
