    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Business Analyst is a key role for strategic development within the Support Services departments of STRIC. This role will be responsible for monitoring quality of service provided, as well as proactively analyzing business data and summarizing into actionable insights for leadership. This role will also apply statistical tools to analyze operational processes for the call center work flow and multi facility workflow. This goal will be achieved by working with cross-functional business teams and utilizing various operational and analytical applications platforms. The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting dashboard and report solutions, as well as database development to include Strategic Planning Growth initiatives, this includes but is not limited to: participating in scope analysis for new projects, assisting with monitoring of new improvement changes, internal/external customer satisfaction improvement by identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for designing lean and efficient processes to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The Business Analyst will collaborate with project managers, service line leaders, process improvement, operational, and administrative stakeholders. This role will support and is responsible for routine and Ad Hoc Data and Analytics reporting, report configuration, report distribution, data base development and administration throughout the organization.

    Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:

    1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience

    2. Experience: Between 1 and 3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, management engineering, or decision support function.

    3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service

     

    line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population

     

    served (if applicable).

     

    4. Preferred: Experience with healthcare applications, data aggregation and reporting, or project management experience is desired. Preferred candidates will have experience in using tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.), Tableau, and/or Power BI.

     

    1-2 years of experience with writing SQL queries and/or experience with working with programmers or web developers a plus.

    Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

    1. Required: N/A

    2. Preferred: Certification in Business Analytics (CAP, ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, AAC)

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Support STRIC in retrieving and organizing the necessary data for reporting.

    2. Takes a proactive role in analyzing and creating reporting needs for STRIC to include reports and dashboards.

    3. Compiles and analyzes statistical information that enables STRIC to make informed strategic decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. Outlines findings, recommendations, and results.

    4. Identifies criteria and effective measurement tools. Produces technical solution designs to meet business requirements and maximize employee efficiency, training, and improve customer satisfaction.

    5. Continually assess the key performance indicators (KPI’s), and make recommendations for business and/or process improvement.

    6. Participates in scope analysis, monitoring/controlling changes, and forecasting projects as assigned by manager/director.

    7. Engages with business leadership and key stakeholders to deeply understand the business needs related to reporting and develops tools to support the needs.

    8. May participate in functional/user testing (User Acceptance Testing) and provides support for user sign off changes.

    3. Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.

    4. Adheres to the STRIC Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.

    5. Completes other duties as assigned.

Professional interpretation and interventional procedures are provided by South Texas Radiology Group, P.A. (STRG).
