    As a member of the Workplace Trust team, you will play a key role in operationalizing privacy across Amazon’s global employee, candidate, and contingent worker populations. This includes engaging with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise to help ensure compliant outcomes.

     

    This position requires a unique blend of technical, regulatory, and critical thinking capabilities to leverage sophisticated generative AI tools in service of maximizing privacy insights and developing innovative solutions.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Identify and analyze pain points in existing privacy and AI review processes

     

    - Design and develop Generative AI tools to streamline and enhance team operations

     

    - Maintain high standards for global privacy and AI compliance

     

    - Work with a dynamic team to implement solutions in a fast-paced environment

     

    - Develop audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms

     

    - Define technical requirements and specifications aligned with business needs

     

    - Develop deep knowledge of employee privacy obligations and data privacy processes

     

    - Consult on the development of business requirements for new system and model implementations

     

    - Draft written narratives to communicate development initiatives

     

    - Implement automation across the internal technology ecosystem

     

    - Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI solutions

     

    - Stay current with emerging privacy regulations and AI developments

    - Provide technical guidance and support to team members

    A day in the life

     

    The ‘day-to-day’ aspect of this role will be to review AI applications for compliance with global privacy and AI obligations and best practices. As part of this you will provide proactive guidance for upcoming tech builds and roadmaps, work with senior leaders on acceptable business risk when applicable, and track remediation actions as needed. You will be responsible for knowing the privacy and AI risks of systems, and ensure the system owners follow the correct paths to full compliance. After reviewing each system, you will be responsible for creating documentation that aligns to legal requirements.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Experience in a privacy, AI, or data science role

     

    - BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

     

    - Familiarity with emerging privacy and AI regulations

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Familiarity with back-end coding and AWS services

     

    - Experience in Generative AI, including prompt engineering, AWS Bedrock

     

    - Certifications in AI/ML technologies and Cloud platforms, such as AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Azure AI Engineer, Azure Data Scientist, or Azure Solutions Architect

     

    - Experience in privacy engineering, technical privacy review, software engineering, or data science

     

    - Advanced degree in a related area (CS or Data Science)

     

    - Relevant certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS AI Practitioner

     

    - Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, and fast-paced environment

     

    - Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive forward results

     

    - Experience coding in Python, Java, including code maintenance and review

     

    - Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgment

     

    - Proven analytical capabilities; experience with large amounts of data and in developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms

     

    - Experience defining technical requirements and specifications and adapting requirements to technical and business needs

     

    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
