Job Summary: Direct and manage the Activity Department within the Assisted Living Facility and the Skilled Nursing Facility. . Plan, implement and supervise the activity program for Courtland Terrace, including both Assisted Living Facility and Skilled Nursing Facility. Supervision and management of staff and maintaining quality of life for residents. Responsibilities also include hiring and training of staff, performance evaluations, program assessments, fiscal management and compliance with DFS and JCAHO standards.
Qualifications: Four year college degree as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or another equivalent degree, Master in Gerontology preferred, with 2-4 years experience long-term-care. Experience in planning and directing activities for residents with Alzheimer or other types of dementia. Experience in developing, implementing, and supervising adult day care programs preferred.
