Litigation Legal Assistant – Employment Defense Firm

About the Firm:

Defense firm with nearly 40 employees. They represent major corporate clients in a variety of labor and employment matters, including labor union negotiations, employment litigation, wage and hour disputes, trade secrets, and government agency investigations.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support their employment litigation defense team.

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

+ Litigation calendaring (Outlook)

+ Court filings (state)

+ Formatting TOAs/TOCs and other legal documents

+ Word processing and document preparation

+ Answering calls and directly communicating with clients

+ Travel arrangements and scheduling

+ General administrative tasks

+ Attorney timesheet entry using Timekeep

+ Document management using iManage (training provided)

Legal Assistant Details:

+ Hours: 37.5-hour workweek, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (no flexibility)

+ Work Schedule: Hybrid (onsite 3 days per week)

Requirements

+ Litigation calendaring experience

+ Court filing experience (state courts)

+ 4+ years of civil litigation experience in California
