Our client Law Firm is offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney to join their team in Plano, Texas. This role involves handling a variety of legal matters, including case review, drafting legal documents, court appearances, and providing legal advice. You will have the chance to work independently on file management, motion practice, courtroom opportunities, depositions, and trial preparation in a supportive and congenial team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle complex litigation and commercial litigation cases efficiently

• Evaluate cases for liability issues, settlement potential and valuation, and likelihood of success on a dispositive motion or trial

• Draft and argue discovery motions and dispositive motions

• Represent clients in federal court and some state court litigation proceedings

• Conduct written discovery and take depositions

• Engage in settlement conferences, mediations, and negotiations

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement agreements

• Communicate effectively with co-defendants, Plaintiff’s counsel, clients, and internal team on discovery, settlement, and other matters

• Provide advice on avoiding litigation and limiting liability by becoming familiar with the client’s business processes

• Review and manage cases using Case Management Software

• Leverage your Consumer Law Background in handling cases.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 3 years of detail-oriented experience as a Litigation Attorney

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software to handle cases efficiently

• Background in Consumer Law is strongly preferred

• Demonstrated experience in Commercial Litigation is a necessity

• Must have the desire to become familiar with the client's business processes to provide advice on avoiding litigation

• Working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a huge plus

• Proven track record in managing Complex Litigation is essential
