Description
We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role, offering a great opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a growing organization.
Part-time Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable by recording incoming payments and monitoring outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
• Handle accounts payable duties, including processing invoices, scheduling payments, and maintaining an organized record of financial obligations.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to confirm accurate tracking of all financial transactions.
• Assist with month-end close processes, preparing financial reports and ensuring all accounts are balanced and accurate.
• Process payroll and quarterly payroll taxes, work with QuickBooks and ADP.
• Monitor cash flow to prioritize payments and provide recommendations for financial decision-making.
• Maintain accurate data entry and bookkeeping records using QuickBooks and other financial software.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless payroll processing and compliance with company policies.
• Analyze financial data to support sound decision-making and contribute to the company’s growth.
• Uphold a high standard of accuracy and organization in all bookkeeping tasks.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, with expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks, ADP, and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and transactions.
• Solid understanding of month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance requirements.
• Must reside in or near Honolulu, Hawaii, with the ability to commute to the office as needed.
