    Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a **Tool and Die Maker (Manual Machinist)** to join our Manufacturing Center team in **San Antonio, TX** .

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Fabricate, repair, and maintain various tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process

    + Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components

    + Operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders

    + Utilize measuring instruments, both in the shop and out on the aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work

    + Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for tooling needs

    + Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards

    + Assist with aircraft structures work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed

    + Fabrication of aircraft parts

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + 5+ years of experience as a Machinists or Tool Maker

    + 5+ years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines

    + 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

    + 5+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools

    + Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Experience with Depot Level/Heavy Structures maintenance

    + Strong communication and teamwork abilities

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    **Summary Starting Pay Rate** : $68,700 / $33.03 per hour

    Additive Pay:

    $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification

     

    $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
