Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a **Embedded Firmware/Software Integration Engineer (Lead or Principal)** with experience in embedded systems requirements and architecture development, software and firmware testing, and developing software requirements plans for a new program in **Albuquerque, NM.**

The new program is responsible for designing and testing advanced concepts for the US Government. This position will be be responsible for requirements definition, integration and test, V&V of requirements, throughout the product lifecycle. This position may serve as an IPT lead for all aspects of firmware/software development and test will serve as a SME/team lead for a team of multi-disciplined engineers supporting hardware/software/embedded systems design, integration and test.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Support firmware and software development projects.

+ Work in a team environment to develop specifications of firmware and software architectures.

+ Design and validate implementation of all embedded components.

+ Integrate and synthesize firmware and software for the target platform.

+ Develop and maintain software code. Integrate software into a fully functional software system.

+ Troubleshoot basic firmware and software issues.

+ Develop verification and validation plans to ensure embedded system requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

+ 5+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#.

+ Experience with product management and software development methodology

+ Working knowledge and/or experience in software architecture and software development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ 5+ years of experience working with FPGA embedded systems

+ Experience with FPGA processor or memory interconnects.

+ Experience in embedded software development.

+ Hardware integration and software Integration experience.

+ Experience using programming languages (VHDL, C++, Java, MATLAB).

+ Experience developing code for sensor acquisition and sensor processing.

+ Experience with electro-optical systems (EO systems, electro optics).

+ Prior experience in Project Management

+ Experience with Earned Value Management

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Lead (level 5): $143,650 – 194,350

Summary pay range Principal (level 6): $170,000 – $230,000
