Position Overview: Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist)

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams, and quality control. The Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) ensures high-quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. A working knowledge and experience in Digital Mammography, sterile technique, and documentation and record-keeping are essential for success in this role. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to our Core Values.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

+ Documentation of **Digital Mammography Tomo Training** (8 hours)

+ **Mammography Experience** : Minimum of 200 exams performed in the past 24 months

+ **Mammography Continuing Education** : 15 hours completed in the past 36 months

+ Graduate of an **AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology Program**

+ **Current CRT** (Certified Radiologic Technologist)

+ **Current Mammographic Permit**

+ **Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification**

+ Strong **communication** and **patient care** skills

+ Ability to effectively operate radiologic equipment

Preferred but, not required:

+ **Associate’s Degree**

+ **ARRT Certification** (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Pay Range

$54.97 - $54.97 /hour
